About AnswerRank
AnswerRank is an AI search visibility and action intelligence tool. It measures how AI answer engines describe your brand, works out who is being recommended instead, and turns the gap into work you can actually do.
Search stopped being a list of links.
A growing share of buying research now ends in an answer rather than a results page. That answer names a handful of vendors, cites a handful of sources, and moves on. If your brand is not in it, there is no page two to be on.
The awkward part is measurement. AI answers vary between runs, differ by engine, and depend on sources you do not control. That makes it very easy to build a dashboard that looks authoritative and means nothing. We took the opposite approach: define what can honestly be measured, measure only that, and put the limits on the same page as the number.
Read the methodologyFive questions, in order.
Every feature has to serve one of these. If a proposed feature does not advance one of them, it loses the argument.
- 01TrackDoes AI mention us?
Your buyers’ questions are executed against web-grounded answer engines on a schedule, and every result is stored with the method it was collected by.
- 02CompareWho wins instead, and by how much?
The same answers reveal the competitor set. Share of voice is computed over presence events, so it answers who owns the conversation rather than who has a prettier score.
- 03ExplainWhy do they win?
Citations, source ownership and site readiness are analysed together. Evidence supports association, and the language we use says exactly that.
- 04ImproveWhat exactly do we do?
Gaps become specific, prioritised work rather than a generic content plan.
- 05ProveDid it work?
Re-run the identical prompt set after the change and report the delta with its sample size — or refuse to declare a result when the sample is too thin.
What we hold ourselves to
These are enforced in code and covered by tests, not left to editorial discipline.
- A number is always shown with how it was collected and how many valid checks are behind it.
- Provider failures are excluded from metrics entirely. An outage can never be displayed as a drop in your visibility.
- Anything that is not a live measurement carries a visible demo badge, and production never falls back to sample data silently.
- An engine without credentials renders as unavailable pending configuration. It never renders as connected.
- We describe association, never causation, when explaining why an answer went the way it did.
What we will not do
The limits are the product. Removing them would make the numbers bigger and the answers worse.
- We do not scrape signed-in consumer chat interfaces, and we do not claim our measurements equal what a logged-in user sees.
- We do not auto-publish generated content into your CMS.
- We do not sell certainty. AI answers are stochastic, and a tool that hides that is selling you a comfortable number.
- We do not display customer logos, testimonials, awards or traffic claims we have not earned.
Teams whose buyers ask AI first.
AnswerRank is built for B2B SaaS and AI product teams, and for the marketing, SEO and GEO agencies who now get asked about AI answers in every client review.
The data model is deliberately generic — brands, markets and prompts — so expanding into other categories is an analysis problem rather than a schema rewrite.
AnswerRank is a young product. You will not find customer logos, funding announcements, award badges or traffic charts on this site, because we have not earned them yet. What we can show you is exactly how the measurement works, what it covers, and where it stops.
